Required formalities at the time of delivery of your car for shipment to Hawaii.

• Keys of the Car

You are supposed to provide the shipping company with keys to the ignition, trunk, gas cap and any locked compartment. To be on the safer side, you must make duplicate keys of the original ones and hand over the duplicate keys to the shipping company while keeping the original keys with you. Please ensure that all the duplicate being handed over to the transporter are working properly.

• Copies of Vehicle Registration and Title

You are to make Xerox copies of the registration and title of the vehicle. But at the time of delivering your vehicle (car/SUV etc) for shipment you are required to show original papers to the company to establish genuineness of your papers./P>

• Hypothecation/Creditor/Lessor notarized statement

If your vehicle is presently hypothecated/financed/leased, you are required to  notarized statement from your creditor/lessor that the creditor/lessor is aware your vehicle is being shipped. A notarized  NOC (No Objection Certificate) from the financer is sufficient to meet this requirement.  

• Non-Owner of vehicle

In case you are not owner of the car being shipped, shipping company may require a notarized letter of authorization from the owner. So prepare this document before going for giving delivery of the car to save your time.

• Photo Identification

At the time of getting delivery of the car back from the shipping company, you (or the persons authorized by you) is required to produce a photo ID to the shipping company.
